Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio spoke to Italian media outlet Sky Sports today a few minutes after the kick-off of Inter’s game against Sampdoria.
When asked if he expected such a good start from new Inter coach Antonio Conte, he admitted he was expecting it.
“Yes, because we knew the value of a coach and a squad. With a new project made up of 9-10 new players you could have expected a little more time, but the team follows the coach very well and that’s fine.”
Then, Ausilio spoke about the pressure that Juventus is putting on the Nerazzurri.
“No, now there’s Sampdoria. The pressure is only on the match now, the rest doesn’t interest us. Then it’s only at the end of the game that we’ll make our assessments.”
Inter are currently one point behind Juventus following the Bianconeri’s 2-0 victory over SPAL earlier today, but a win against Sampdoria puts the Nerazzurri two points ahead of the Bianconeri.
