Inter forward Alexis Sanchez’s performance last night in his first start against Sampdoria was like “Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde” according to Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details Sanchez’s electric start to the game in the first half, playing with confidence and scoring a goal to put the Nerazzurri 2-0 up, as the 30-year-old Chilean showed signs of him returning to his best.

The former Manchester United forward struggled with confidence during his time with the Red Devils, but his first half performance last night showed none of that. However, a second yellow card early in the second half for simulation ended the Chilean’s night, disappointing fans and coach Antonio Conte alike.

However, due to Sanchez’s disqualification against Juventus next week, Conte may opt to start the forward against Barcelona this week as he looks to revitalise Inter in Europe following their clumsy draw against Slavia Prague earlier this month.
