Inter coach Antonio Conte guided the Nerazzurri to their sixth consecutive win in the league last night after their 3-1 victory over Sampdoria, despite Alexis Sanchez’s red card, Rome based newspaper Repubblica writes.

The report details how the 30-year-old Chilean forward was playing strong and linking up well with Argentinian forward Lautaro Martinez, before his disappointing second yellow card following a fall in the box resulted in the player being sent off.

Sanchez will now be missing in the Nerazzurri’s first big challenge of the season against Juventus next weekend, with Conte facing his former squad, Juventus, for the first time in the league.

Inter are currently top of the table after a perfect start, two points ahead of second place Juventus, whose disappointing draw against Fiorentina earlier this month in Florence saw them fall behind the Nerazzurri in the race for the scudetto.

An Inter victory in next week’s Derby d’Italia would put the Nerazzurri five points clear of the Bianconeri after seven games.
