Inter’s impressive game against Sampdoria last night shows that the Nerazzurri can really challenge Juventus for the scudetto this season, according to Milano based newspaper il Corriere della Sera.

The Nerazzurri beat Sampdoria last night in Genoa 3-1, despite spending the majority of the second half with only ten men, after Alexis Sanchez received a second yellow card for simulation.

Inter’s performance was described by the paper as “a perfect orchestra”, with coach Antonio Conte pushing the team to one of their best performances of the season in the first half.

Whilst the second half was more challenging, Conte’s leadership and usage of substitutions helped Inter stay on track and close out the game. Despite being a man down, Inter pushed for the third goal in the second half to ensure a victory.

Inter’s next challenge in the league is Juventus in next weekend’s Derby d’Italia, Conte’s most important test of the season so far.
