Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini spoke to Italian media outlet SportMediaset last night following the Nerazzurri’s 3-1 victory over Sampdoria.

“We are building something important. The group is there and we’re fit. I think we didn’t slow up even after their goal. We stayed focused, compact and then found the third goal. We’re doing everything the coach asks of us and I think we’ve seen it so far.”

The 25-year-old Italian scored the third goal last night to help Antonio Conte’s squad close out the game against a surging Sampdoria, who are currently bottom of the table after only gathering three points from their opening six games.

Inter, on the other hand, are top of the league table after a perfect start in the league, winning their first six games in a row.

Next weekend the Nerazzurri take on Juventus in the first Derby d’Italia of this season. The game will be Inter’s toughest so far this season.
