Joao Mario has shared his delight at how positive things have been at the early stage of his Lokomotiv Moscow career having joined them on loan from Inter in the Summer transfer window.

“I have reached a point in my career where the most important thing is to play regularly. Lokomotiv was the club that wanted me most and this was decisive, because I wanted a project where I felt important,” he said in an interview with Marca.

“Having the chance to play in the Champions League also weighed heavily on my choice. I’m happy here, I have found a very well organised club.”

He concluded: “Everything is going very well. The group is composed of experienced people, who know each other very well, and having Éder here is helpful. After a few negative moments, a club like Lokomotiv was just what I needed: a good team, with positive dynamics, in which I feel important.”
