Noted journalist Matteo Marani has commented on Inter’s performance in their 3-1 victory over Sampdoria, a match which Inter spent nearly half of, with just 10 men on the park.

“Antonio Conte has found an environment with margins for great growth, as evidenced by Inter’s over €400 million turnover.  There can be absolutely no comparisons made to the other team in Milan. Against Sampdoria. I saw a group of players ready to help each other out,” he said in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport.

He then commented on the race for the Serie A title and Sunday’s first Derby D’Italia of the season.

“I still think Juventus are favourites for the league though. Juventus are coming. Sunday’s match will be symbolic and it can tell you something not only about this season but the cycles both clubs are in. If Inter are to win the match, it would be a huge sign of growth.”
