Legendary Italian midfielder Demetrio Albertini has shared his thoughts ahead of Inter’s clash with his former club Barcelona tomorrow night in the Champions League.

“It is a difficult and complicated match for both sides. Barça is playing very well at home, it has its history and it is the strongest team in the group. Inter started very well and has an incredible coach in Antonio Conte and he is laying the groundwork for being an important team again,” he remarked in an interview with Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.

Albertini then shared his hopes to see Inter progress from the group stage.

“Conte is a coach who manages to get 110% out of his players. It can be complicated for Barça but the Blaugrana are the favourites because they are playing at home. I hope the Nerazzurri manage to qualify for the knockout stages for the good of Italian football and that they will finish in second place after Barça.”
