Alessandro Bastoni was the youngest Italian to start a game for Inter since 2013 in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Sampdoria according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

Bastoni put in an assured performance at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris as Inter extended their perfect winning start to the season to six games and did so aged just 20 years and 168 days old.

The last youngest player was Simone Pasa, who started for the Nerazzurri aged 19 years and 118 days at the end of the 2012/13 season. Pasa, who is now 25-years-old, is now plying his trade with Serie B outfit Pordenone.
