Former Inter manager Luciano Spalletti has distanced himself from rumours linking him with the AC Milan job amid claims that current Rossoneri boss Marco Giampaolo could soon be sacked.

“Me at AC Milan? Wild guesses. I have a contract with Inter. Let Giampaolo work, he is a rising star in Italian football,” Spalletti insisted in an interview with Top Calcio 24.

In typical Spalletti fashion, he then joked with reporter Stefano Donati who conducted the interview with him.

“You should come with me to pick up some grapes, you would have more calluses in your hands and you would do less.”
