Lionel Messi’s condition has improved and there is a good chance he will be in the Barcelona squad to take on Inter tomorrow according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Argentine international sustained a thigh injury in one of the Blaugrana’s recent matches and was originally thought to have been a real doubt for the second round of Champions League group stage action.

Whilst it looks to be positive news on the Messi front for the Catalan club, it is not such good news when it comes to Jordi Alba and Samuel Umtiti, both of whom are almost certain to miss out due to their respective injuries. Teen sensation Ansu Fati is also a serious doubt for the match due to a muscle injury.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to explain that there is also some hope from Barcelona staff that Ousmane Dembele could be back.
