The idea of Inter and AC Milan building their brand new proposed stadium away from the San Siro district is still not completely out of the equation according to a report from La Repubblica.

As per the report, there could be a meeting this week to discuss the feasibility of the stadium being built in the former Falck areas in the Sesto San Giovanni region of the city, which is currently owned by Milanosesto.

Milanosesto’s chief executive has already said the area is ready to be the home of the new stadium but has insisted he does not want to be used as a tool for the two clubs to force their ideas for San Siro through.

The reason the idea of building elsewhere is not off the table is due to the stadium laws relating to how many buildings can be built in a certain area of council owned land.

However, with the former Falck areas being privately owned by Milanosesto, there are no restrictions when it comes to how many buildings can be built.
