Inter legend and current vice-president Javier Zanetti has shared his delight at how Inter have started their 2019/20 Serie A campaign in perfect fashion.

“We have had a great start because we won the first six games. The team is responding in the best way, we are excited about this,” he explained in an interview with Radio Rivadavia.

Next Zanetti spoke on Inter’s Argentine starlet Lautaro Martinez, who is now in his second season with the club having arrived from Racing Club for around €20 million in 2018.

“He is very good. We are talking about a player who’s 22, he still has plenty of room for growth. We are very happy he is part of Inter.”

Zanetti, who spent nearly his entire playing career with Inter, then went on to deny that the club were in for Argentine youth stars Exequiel Palacios and Martinez Quata.

“There was no interest in them in the summer from us.”
