Barcelona striker Antoine Griezmann has heaped praise upon Inter manager Antonio Conte ahead of Barcelona and Inter’s Champions League group stage clash.

“Inter, like all Italian teams, will be difficult to face. They are well organised and have Antonio Conte in charge. He is one of the best managers in the world who has always done well wherever he has been. For this reason, it will be a complicated match for us,” he explained in the pre-match press conference.

He then spoke on the difference playing with and without Lionel Messi has on the Catalan club.

“Playing with or without the best player in the world makes things different. When we are in trouble we know that we can always pass it on to him when he is playing. He helps us out a lot. We have had several problems across the team and practically haven’t trained together.”

He concluded by discussing his relationship with Inter’s Diego Godin.

“I talked to him, he will be a great opponent. He is a great friend and an example for everyone to follow. He is a great captain who helped me during my time at Atletico Madrid.”
