Barcelona midfielder Arthur is adamant that he did not make any contact with Stefano Sensi during last night’s match with Inter.

Shortly before the hour mark, Sensi was running in the Barcelona box and appeared to be clipped by the Brazilian midfielder but referee Damir Skomina waved calls for a penalty away and did not even consult VAR.

“I am sure that it was not a penalty kick. I saw him coming but I did not make any movement,” he stressed in an interview with Marca.

He then went on to explain what was behind Barcelona’s much improved performance in the second half, that saw them overturn a 1-0 deficit to run out 2-1 winners.

“The coach understood very well what we needed and explained it during the half-time break. We had to increase the pressure and the entry of Arturo Vidal helped us in this sense. He has very particular characteristics and gave us exactly what we needed. The fans helped us out too.”
