In an interview with broadcaster Sky Sport, Riccardo Ferri has shared his views on the importance of Inter coming up against teams like Barcelona.

“It was an important test for Inter who must go through these matches to see if they are on the right path. Playing away to Barcelona is difficult but the mentality Inter showed on the field says it all. In order for their to be individual and collective growth of the team, they must go through these matches,” he said.

He then commented on why he thinks Diego Godin could not get near Luis Suarez for Barcelona’s second goal of the game.

“Perhaps fatigue made him see things in a different way, in my opinion, Godin was tired at that moment of the game.”
