Inter have confirmed that Sunday’s first Derby D’Italia of the season with arch-rivals Juventus at San Siro has sold out and that a new record for ticket revenue for a single match has been set.

“There will be over 100 nationalities represented in the stands, with more than 500 Inter clubs present and over 20% of tickets purchased from abroad,” a statement on the official club website reads.

“More than 40 broadcasters will broadcast the match in more than 200 countries. All VIP seats have also been sold out for the match thus meaning money raised through season tickets, individual tickets and hospitality tickets will be €6.5 million gross, which is the new all-time high in Serie A.”

This will be the 236th time that the two clubs lock horns with one another across all competitions and as always, the fixture is very much highly anticipated.

Sunday’s match will see first placed Inter play host to Juventus, who are two points behind them in second place in the league table.
