A report from FCInterNews.it has revealed the details behind youngster Leonardo Straccio’s transfer move to Inter at the end of the recent Summer transfer window.

The 15-year-old midfielder, who primarily plays as a defensive midfielder, joined the club on transfer deadline day and was one of several young players to join the Nerazzurri’s youth ranks over the course of the Summer. As per the report, Inter invested no less than €600,000 to ensure that they signed him.

Inter are constantly on the look-out for the next up-and-coming players at all levels of Italian football and the Nerazzurri had been monitoring Straccio for some time.

They had scouts watch him on several occasions last season whilst he was playing for Pescara’s under 17 side. His performances for the Delfini also caught the eyes of national team scouts with his performances earning him a place in the Italy under 15s – who he has since made one appearance for.
