Javier Zanetti was present at the Lega Calcio offices in Milan today and reflected on his Inter career as part of the celebrations 90 years on from the first Serie A season.
“I had the honour of playing so many years in Serie A, I lived unforgettable moments and we have made so many people happy. It was an honour to wear the Inter shirt for many years,” he is quoted as saying by Calcio Mercato.
“I still remember my first game at San Siro, my parents where there watching the match in the stands. Italy and Inter have been and continue to be a dream for me. Now I am vice president of the club, times have changed but the tradition has not.”
The Argentine also spoke on this weekend’s Derby D’Italia between Inter and Juventus.
“I hope that Sunday’s match with Juventus is a party. May the best team win.”
