Juventus Chairman Andrea Agnelli has told the fans he won’t remove Antonio Conte’s star outside the Allianz Stadium, according to Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
The Bianconeri have 50 celebratory stars on the ground outside the stadium, with famous names such as Roberto Baggio and Alessandro Del Piero amongst those celebrated. Inter coach Antonio Conte has one due to his incredible work turning the club into domestic giants following their slump after the Calciopoli scandal.
However, since Conte has signed with Inter, fans have been petitioning the club to remove his star. Following Juventus legend Claudio Marchisio’s retirement this week, over 15,000 fans signed a petition to remove Conte’s star in favour of Marchisio, but Agnelli has no intention of carrying this out, telling the fans “he deserves it, Conte deserves it.”
Despite the fractured relationship between the Bianconeri Chairman and the Inter coach, Agnelli’s respect for the work carried out by Conte is high and he has no interest in erasing that piece of history.
