Inter Coach Antonio Conte Hopes To Destroy Juventus’ Sense Of Security & Invulnerability Tonight

Inter coach Antonio Conte is hoping to destroy Juventus’ sense of security and invulnerability that they’ve enjoyed in the league in tonight’s clash against the Bianconeri, according to Rome based newspaper il Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 50-year-old Italian coach, who helped kickstart the Bianconeri’s domestic dominance over this past decade, could show the rest of the league their weaknesses in tonight’s Derby d’Italia.

Not only would a victory for the Nerazzurri tonight put them five points ahead of the Bianconeri, it would also match a record set by former Inter coach Helenio Herrera in the 1966/67 season – winning their seventh league game in a row.

Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri will face a tough test at the San Siro, as losing to Conte’s Inter would not only affect the standings, but both his and the squad’s mentality moving forward as well. The respect for Conte across Italy is high but Sarri’s memory of losing the league to Juventus after a 5-point advantage with Napoli a few years ago may remind the squad to not lose too much hope just yet.
