Former Inter defender Iván Córdoba spoke to Inter for their match day programme for tonight’s game against Juventus in the first Derby d’Italia of the season.

The 43-year-old Colombian, who played for the Nerazzurri for 12 years, spoke highly of the Nerazzurri fans and of the famous names at the club during his playing career.

“The fans know that I gave and would still give my life for Inter. What influenced my choice to sign for Inter was the possibility of playing alongside champions such as Ronaldo, Bobo Vieri, Roberto Baggio, Javier Zanetti, Ivan Zamorano, Recoba, Laurent Blanc.”

The Nerazzurri face Juventus tonight in one of the most important games of the season so far. Inter are currently first place in the league after a perfect start, whereas title holders Juventus are in second place, two points behind the Nerazzurri, after dropping points to Fiorentina last month in a frustrating goalless draw.
