Inter defender Milan Skriniar spoke to gathered reporters in the mixed zone following the Nerazzurri’s disappointing 2-1 loss to Juventus last night according to FcInterNews.

“Barcelona and Juve are two strong teams, we did quite well in the first half in Barcelona, today we could have done better, but we could not score goals despite creating several chances. When they score goals, we still don’t, that’s the difference.”

The 24-year-old then discussed what the squad could have done against the Bianconeri in the game.

“In the second half we could have been more aggressive, attacking more even if it’s not always easy, they scored two goals, we only one, and that says it all. But there are many things to improve.”

Skriniar refused to comment on the performance of the referee, Gianluca Rocchi.

“I don’t want to talk about referees, I didn’t like the fact that every time he blow’s the whistle everyone goes after him and you lose a lot of time. The referee has to send everyone away and decide for himself, I can’t go and talk to him.”

The Slovakian international then touched on what the squad has learned after their two defeats this week.

“Today and against Barcelona we have understood that we have to do better, train with more concentration, you just have to leave a centimetre and then you pay for it.”

Finally, Skriniar discussed the importance of looking ahead despite the disappointing week.

“We’ve played seven games in 20 days but we can’t just think about this game, we’ve lost and now we have to look ahead.”
