The good news is Inter are still 5 points ahead of 4th placed Napoli, the bad news is that Nerazzurri are 1 point behind Juve who outplayed and deservedly overtook Inter in the league standings at a charged up Giuseppe Meazza.

The international break will give Conte and his men time to lick their wounds and prepare for the next few games with a calm head. Rocchi played his part as Inter were maybe denied a penalty in the last few minutes.

Samir Handanovic – 4.5: It was a tough night for Samir. The goals he conceded should be saved by the standards Samir has set. Long balls went straight to Cuadrado.

Milan Skriniar – 5.5: Poor start to the game and looked tired and maybe even jaded. Hopefully he gets some rest in the international break. He needs it more than any.

Stefan de Vrij – 5.5: Defensively just about average. Stefan is much better when Inter are able to dominate possession. The imbalance in the team affected him the most.

Diego Godin – 5: Maybe he cant play so many games in a short span of time. Still managed a defensive shift but he was too safe with his passing creating problems.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – 5.5: Always puts in 100%, but in a game like this he didn’t manage to control the defensive part of the flank. Could have got an assist but that is about it.

Nicolo Barella – 6: Nicolo can keep his chin up. The dive apart, everything he did was of a very, very high level. Ran for 2 people, chased down hopeless balls. Brave.

Marcelo Brozovic – 6: Not a a great first half as none of the back 3 could pass the press, he was always out numbered. In the second half he regained his game. Fighter.

Stefano Sensi – 5: Sensi is the most important player in this team and Inter don’t have a replacement for him. Inter clearly suffered without him and couldn’t create at all.

Kwadwo Asamoah – 5.5: Did a semi decent job in the defensive phase, but Cuadrado’s pace made sure he didn’t venture high up. Poor decision making on his crosses.

Lautaro Martnez – 7 : Lautaro is slowly delivering on his promise. He has leveled up and is the biggest positive of this week. The goal was well deserved, tried very hard.

Romelu Lukaku – 5: Surely he is injured like Sensi too? Today he got a lot of the ball and spaces to run, never managed to convert that into a decent shot or an assist.

Matias Vecino – 5.5: From the moment he came on Inter struggled and almost felt like a man less. Then as usual with 25 minutes to go he got forward and sparked a few moves.

Alessandro Bastoni – 6: For a 20 year old that was a mature performance. Maybe he should have done better on the second goal, but he eased past Juve’s press quite easily.

Matteo Politano – 6.5: Inter didn’t get the ball to Politano enough. When he had it, he tried to light some fire and managed to get a few dangerous looking balls into the box.

Antonio Conte – 5: Handicapped by the injury to Sensi against a team that is clearly better, he tried to punch above his weight. Sarri used his tools and outplayed him.

Gianluca Rocchi – 4: Decent first half by Rocchi. Can argue for and against Lautaro’s penalty. Lukaku should have got one too. Forgot to book Juve for diving. Typical.

Inter – 5: Sometimes taking a step back and getting a low blow helps regain the concentration. Hopefully Inter use the last two results to improve themselves.

Will Inter go full on Pazza mode now? Is Lautaro doing well enough to be considered world class? Who should Inter sign to boost the numbers in midfield?
