Inter have an agreement in principle with Flamengo for the permanent transfer of Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Gabigol is currently on loan at the Brazilian powerhouses, where he has starred since January, and the two clubs have reached an agreement based on a €15-16 million fee with Inter also securing 20% of any future resale, as per the report.

An agreement between the player and Flamengo is however lacking at this stage due to the fact Gabigol is wanting more money than what he is being offered by the Mengao.

Gabigol joined Inter to much fanfare in a €30 million deal from Santos back in 2016 but really struggled to adapt and has made just 10 appearances for the club in the time since, in which he has scored one goal.

Gabigol’s presumed sale will bring in funds for Inter to strengthen their side in the upcoming January transfer window.
