Stefano Sensi is hopeful that he will be back from injury for Inter’s first game back after the international break against Sassuolo according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

The midfielder sustained an injury during the 2-1 Derby D’Italia loss to Juventus this past weekend and the club have since confirmed the injury as a thigh strain and that his condition will be re-evaluated again in the coming days.

If he is unavailable for the match against his former employers, the report goes on to explain that Inter manager Antonio Conte wants him to be available for the Champions League group stage match against Borussia Dortmund.

Sensi has been extremely important in Inter’s early season successes and has surprised almost everyone with his surprises since his arrival from Sassuolo.

The 24-year-old Italian international midfielder has made nine appearances across all competitions this season for a total of 625 minutes on the pitch in which he has scored three times and provided four assists.
