Mario Sconcerti has praised Inter for the account they have given of themselves in their past two games with Barcelona and more recently Juventus, despite losing in both matches.

“Inter believed in themselves, right up to the end of the matches but the fact of always having to fight to the end of them is a limitation of theirs,” he explained in an interview with Tutto Mercato Web Radio.

“They are still missing some things but after these two games, Inter have shown themselves to be a great team. Lukaku has not done well lately but it takes time for players to adapt.”

He also touched upon the AC Milan managerial situation and despite Luciano Spalletti reportedly no longer being an option, Sconcerti believes that the former Inter boss was the right man to lead the struggling Rossoneri.

“Spalletti is a good coach, he is the right man for any kind of occasion. He knows he should have gone to Milan. He would have been unemployed at 63, given his contract with Inter. He is the right coach for a rebuild.”
