Ivan Rakitic has appeared to threaten that he will consider leaving Barcelona if his playing situation does not change with the club.
“For me it is a difficult time, because I wish I could take the field more and not just be part of the team. I do not know what will happen now,” he said in an interview with Spanish news outlet AS.
“I still have a two-year contract with Barcelona and there is no better place to be for me as Barcelona is the best club in the world.
“However, my job is to be a footballer and I am not going to be alone in enjoying the city and taking walks. Everyone knows that I had various offers in the summer, it is not a secret but I want to give my best for Barcelona, but if the situation remains this way we will have to understand what to do.”
One of those offers came from Inter whilst he had another offer from Paris Saint Germain. It remains to be seen whether or not the clubs will go back in for him.
