Inter are hopeful that Stefano Sensi will be back available for their next Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian midfielder sustained an injury to his thigh, as confirmed by the club, in this past weekend’s Derby D’Italia defeat to arch rivals Juventus which forced him off the field around half an hour into the match.

Sensi’s condition will be re-evaluated at the beginning of next week and the Milan based news outlet go on to state that it cannot be entirely ruled out that the 24-year-old could even be back available for Inter’s first game back after the international break against Sassuolo.

Sensi has been one of the stars for Inter at this early stage of the season and has appeared in each of Inter’s nine games up until now. In 625 minutes on the pitch, Sensi has scored three goals and provided four assists for his teammates.
