Bayern Munich chairman and former Inter player Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has commented on Ivan Perisic’s situation with the Bundesliga club, who he joined on loan from Inter during the Summer transfer window.

“I will not rule out the possibility of Ivan Perisic being bought permanently by Bayern Munich. He has made a good start to the season and we have an agreement with Inter to talk about it at a later date, we will evaluate the situation alongside the player,” he remarked in an interview with Tutto Mercato Web.

Rummenigge, who spent three years on Inter’s books between 1989-1992, then shared his views on how he feels Inter have got on this season.

“They are doing well, they have made a good start, apart from the match against Juventus. They can compete for the Serie A title.

“Antonio Conte is doing a good job. It is important that the Nerazzurri have a quality and trustworthy manager such as him. Inter are a team rubuilding so it will take some patience from fans.”

He concluded with a quick comment on the expectations surrounding Inter’s club record signing Romelu Lukaku.

“The fans want to see a lot of goals from him and I hope he scores them too.”
