FIFA president and Inter fan Gianni Infantino has made it clear that he is all for Inter and AC Milan’s proposed new stadium which will replace the historic San Siro.
“We must analyse the situation well, and consider Wembley Stadium that was rebuilt. Since having been rebuilt it has become even more historic than the previous one,” Infantino told those in attendance at the Trento Sports Festival earlier on today.
“People must set aside the nostalgia for the San Siro. I think that two teams like Inter and AC Milan deserve one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world.”
He was then asked about the gap between his beloved Inter and Juventus.
“It was not filled on Sunday because the Bianconeri won. There is still a long way to go and things are not awarded until the end of the season. Juventus are strong because they have worked well for years.”
