Former Inter player Andrea Mandorlini believes that the Nerazzurri can challenge arch-rivals Juventus for the rest of the season.

“The Nerazzurri are a strong team and the feelings are unchanged despite their defeat against the Bianconeri. The gap is still there between the sides, but I think that the Nerazzurri can remain competitive to the end this season, especially given there is still a long way to go. You can never say never in football,” Mandorlini, who spent seven years with Inter, remarked in an interview with Tutto Mercato Web.

Next Mandorlini shared his views on Inter’s Summer recruits Diego Godin and Romelu Lukaku.

“I like Godin. There have been some games that have went better than others for him but he may have had something wrong with him and certainly should not be being questioned for these performances.

“As for Lukaku, he has great margins for growth but it will take time.”
