Inter are looking to reward Marcelo Brozovic for his importance to the team by offering him a contract extension according to a report from CalcioMercato.com.

The 26-year-old central midfielder is currently under contract with the club until the end of the 2021/22 season and Inter wish to extend that by a further two years through to the end of the 2023/24 season.

Brozovic currently has a €60 million release clause in his contract and Inter are keen to raise the clause or even remove it entirely so to deter any potential interest in him.

Inter want to get this renewal sorted as soon as possible and the Croatian international will presumably become the next player in line to sign a contract renewal with the club reportedly also close to agreeing new deals with club captain and goalkeeper Samir Handanovic as well as striker Lautaro Martinez.

This season Brozovic has made nine appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored two goals.
