Inter centre back Milan Skriniar has shared his and his Nerazzurri teammates ambitions to win some silverware in the not too distant future.

“We have been working to win since the first day of pre-season. We want to win. We must continue like this. Antonio Conte has changed our mentality because he has the winning one. We must never give up and keep trying until the end,” he remarked in an interview with broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

“The defeat to Juventus is a stimulus for us, for sure. It was our first loss in the league but we played well. We still have work to do.

Next he was asked about possibly becoming Inter captain in a few years time and addressed suggestions that he is the best defender in the world.

“I would love to be captain but for now I am working to do well for the team. I am the best defender in the world? It is not something I think about. I still have to grow but I am happy if others think this.”

Finally he was asked on what it has been like to face three world class talents in Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in his past three matches.

“Messi impressed me the most of the three. I was lucky enough to face all three of them in a few days, and it is beautiful, that’s why we play football. With Messi you immediately understand that he sees the whole game and the spaces. the other two are also great players.”
