There was cause for double celebration as Romelu Lukaku netted his 50th and 51st goals for the Belgian national team in their 9-0 rout of San Marino on Thursday night.

The Inter striker became the all-time record goalscorer for the Belgian national team by scoring the brace which came on the same day his mother celebrated her 51st birthday.

26-year-old Lukaku, who joined Inter from Manchester United this Summer, took to social media to celebrate both events.

“51 goals on my mom’s 51st birthday. Happy birthday mom. God is good,” he posted to Twitter as a caption to an image of him celebrating one of his two goals.
