Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is set to miss Croatia’s upcoming Euro 2020 qualifier against Wales tomorrow, according to today’s paper edition of Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 26-year-old Croatian international played the full 90 minutes in their 3-0 victory over Hungary earlier in the week, receiving a yellow card in the process.

However, Croatia coach Zlatko Dalić understands that the 26-year-old’s high work rate could cause injury issues if he is forced to play again after only a few days’ rest. Therefore, Brozovic will return to Inter’s training ground in Appiano Gentile on Monday.

The report also details how Inter coach Antonio Conte will be happy to hear this news, considering he has deployed the 26-year-old Croatian in every game so far this season, playing the full 90 minutes in eight of their nine games so far.

The report highlights that Brozovic runs the most in the Serie A averaging 12.7 km per game.
