Sassuolo have expressed an interest in two of Inter’s promising youth talents, according to Italian media outlet FcInterNews.it.
17-year-old attacking midfielder Gaetano Oristanio has impressed the Neroverdi with his performances for the Primavera, demonstrating a deft control of the ball and quick pace, having contributed three goals and one assist in five games so far this season.
The other player Sassuolo are keen on signing is 19-year-old forward Samuele Mulattieri, who has scored twice in four games for Armando Madonna’s side, both of which came in a 5-1 victory against Juventus.
Chief executive officer Giovanni Carnevali hopes to sign at least one of the pair in the coming months, with the good relations between the two clubs likely to help his cause.
Inter and Sassuolo will need to meet again next summer to finalise a permanent transfer for Stefano Sensi, which could represent the perfect opportunity for the Emiliani to secure a player-plus-cash deal.
