Inter are expecting more goals from striker Romelu Lukaku once his physical condition is optimal, according to today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report highlights how the former Manchester United forward started his season strongly with the Nerazzurri, scoring three goals in his first five games with the club. However, since his goal against AC Milan in the Milanese derby last month, the 26-year-old Belgian has failed to score again.

Inter coach Antonio Conte understands that it will take time for Lukaku to adapt to a new league and to reach an optimal level of fitness, but the club are expecting the striker to begin contributing to goals again soon.

The player has failed to provide an assist all season and the Nerazzurri need him to score goals or provide assists if they are to compete with Juventus for the league title this season. Inter are currently one point behind the Bianconeri in the league table.
