Former Italy and Inter coach Marcello Lippi had a special message for Inter coach Antonio Conte today at the Trento Sport Festival, according to Italian media outlet FcInterNews.

The 71-year-old Italian spoke about Conte in a video message and was certain of the 50-year-old Italian’s ability as a coach.

“He will soon become a champion, with a club or with a National team. I was lucky enough to become one and I say that there is nothing like climbing on the top of the world.”

Lippi coached the Nerazzurri in the 1999/2000 season but was dismissed after a single season due to poor results, with Inter finishing fourth in the league and failing to win a single trophy.

The former Sampdoria defender is most known for guiding Italy to their fourth World Cup victory in 2006, with the squad only conceding two goals in the whole tournament with neither being from open play.
