Alexis Sanchez’s injury will be examined by Inter medical staff either tonight or tomorrow morning according to a report in today’s paper edition of Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Chilean sustained an injury to his ankle in the 0-0 friendly draw against Colombia and initial testing conducted by the Chilean national team medical staff appears to show tendon damage.

The 30-year-old, who joined Inter on loan from Manchester United during the Summer, was sent home from international duty as a result of the injury, the extent of which will become clearer once Inter have checked it over.

Danilo D’Ambrosio also picked up an injury whilst on international duty as he played in Italy’s 2-0 EURO 2020 qualifier win over Greece.

The right wing back is understood to have broken a toe on his right foot and was in a lot of pain last night. His condition will be evaluated today and it is not to say that even if he has broken a toe that he might not still play this weekend.
