Alexis Sanchez has already spoken to Inter medical staff in a bid to try and reassure them of his condition ahead of today’s tests which will confirm the extent of his injury according to a report in today’s paper edition of Tuttosport.

The Chilean international sustained an injury to his ankle during Chile’s goalless international friendly against fellow South American’s Colombia and whilst the Chilean medical staff did some testing after the match, they did not conduct a resonance test – a test which will give a much clearer picture of the situation.

If it is only an ankle sprain, the 30-year-old will miss a few weeks of action but if there is tendon damage then he could be looking at a longer time on the sidelines.

The report also goes on to discuss the condition of Danilo D’Ambrosio who sustained a suspected broken toe in Italy’s 2-0 win over Greece.

D’Ambrosio is seemingly already feeling a bit better but will be tested today as well and tests could prove that rather than it being broken it could just be severely bruised. Even if a break is confirmed, D’Ambrosio will only need a short rest before returning.
