Alexis Sanchez and Danilo D’Ambrosio’s conditions will both be evaluated today after they sustained injuries whilst on international duty, according to a report in today’s paper edition of Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Sanchez sustained an injury to his ankle during Chile’s international friendly match against Colombia and the Chilean national team’s statement on his injury does not make for such good reading with them believing there could be tendon damage although they came to this judgement without performing all tests.

As for D’Ambrosio, the Italian international full back believes he has broken a toe on his right foot, as he confirmed in his post-match interview duties after Italy’s EURO 2020 qualifier win over Greece.

Should this injury be confirmed by today’s tests, he should not be looking at too long on the sidelines but will more than likely miss this weekend’s match away to Sassuolo. Antonio Candreva will therefore likely start in his place at right wing-back.
