Inter’s medical staff are currently conducting testing on Alexis Sanchez to discover the extent of the injury he sustained whilst on international duty with Chile according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

The 30-year-old attacker sustained a blow to his ankle from Juventus’ Juan Cuadrado during Chile’s goalless international friendly with Cuadrado’s Colombia in the past few days.

Chilean medical staff conducted some initial testing on the player who joined Inter on a season long loan from Manchester United during the Summer transfer window and some reports in the media have stated that he risks facing a few months out of action.

The report meanwhile goes on to state that Danilo D’Ambrosio, who was also injured during international duty, will be out of action for around 15 days, so will miss Inter’s next few matches as a result.

It also states that there is optimism that Stefano Sensi could feature against Sassuolo this weekend as he returns to training with the rest of the team having overcome his injury problem.
