Olivier Giroud is seeking a two year and a half year contract if he is to leave Chelsea in the January transfer window according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

In wake of Alexis Sanchez’s injury, which could keep him out for a number of months, Inter have identified the Frenchman as someone who could come in and bolster the threadbare attacking department.

The 33-year-old is currently on the books of Chelsea until the end of this season but could well leave in the January transfer window having grown disgruntled at his lack of play time this term with him limited to just 191 minutes across all competitions.

Inter aside, there is no shortage of options out there for former Arsenal man Giroud, who also has two offers from MLS from New York City and Vancouver Whitecaps.

Giroud is however of the belief that he can still play to a high level in Europe which may well swing things in Inter’s favour if the Nerazzurri do go in for him.
