This weekend Inter will return to playing almost exclusively through Marcelo Brozovic due to Stefano Sensi’s injury according to a report in today’s paper edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Sensi’s surprising start to the season has taken a lot of pressure off of the shoulders of Brozovic, who has been heavily relied upon to keep Inter ticking in the past two seasons and this weekend’s match will be no different.

The duo have shared the playmaking responsibilities this season which in turn has given Brozovic more freedom to get forward, something that just was not possible previously.

Brozovic has played all barring 19 minutes of Inter’s season so far and under new manager Antonio Conte his numbers have significantly improved in a number of areas such as his completed passes per game and average shots per game.

In 791 minutes on the park, the 26-year-old, who is viewed by club leaders as an important part of the project, has tallied two goals.
