Romelu Lukaku trained hard yesterday as he returned to Inter training in a bid to get back to full fitness ahead of Inter’s match with Sassuolo this weekend according to a report in today’s paper edition of Tuttosport.

Lukaku has been struggling in recent weeks with a few niggling injuries, which caused him to miss Inter’s 2-1 loss in the Champions League against Barcelona and had a clear impact on his performance in the Derby D’Italia defeat to arch-rivals Juventus too.

With Alexis Sanchez potentially facing a few months out on the sidelines, something which will be confirmed by medical testing today, Inter manager Antonio Conte is keen to have a fully fit Lukaku available.

The Belgian was the first of Inter’s players to return from international duty and the report goes on to state that several others will return today. Those players are Marcelo Brozovic, Stefan de Vrij, Milan Skriniar, Valentino  Lazaro and Lautaro Martinez.
