Inter are seriously thinking about making a move for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report in today’s paper edition of Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
With Alexis Sanchez facing a decent amount of time on the sidelines due to the injury he sustained during the international break, Inter are on the look-out for a new striker who can fill in in his absence and have identified Giroud as someone who could do that.
The 33-year-old is under contract with the Premier League side until the end of the season and therefore Inter could be able to acquire him in a low cost move.
The French international striker has struggled for game time this season and has even shared his disappointment at this in the media.
As per the report, Giroud would like a contract until 2021 but he is not the only player Inter are considering with Udinese’s Kevin Lasagna and SPAL’s Andrea Petagna both also under consideration.
