In an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb, Sassuolo goalkeeper Andrea Consigli has shared his thoughts and feelings ahead of their clash with Inter this weekend.

“We will have an extra incentive to win on Sunday, knowing how happy president Squnzi was to beat Inter. We have a tough and ugly match ahead of us but we have worked so hard these past few weeks and we hope to be on the right track,” he said.

He then went on to share his thoughts on Inter.

“I expect to come up against a strong team. They want to win and know that they are strong. It will be a difficult game. We have things that can annoy them. They have great players, Romelu Lukaku can make the difference. We will have to be attentive to the whole team.”

He was also asked if he has kept in touch with former teammates Stefano Sensi and Matteo Politano who are both at Inter.

“I saw them at Squinzi’s funeral but we did not talk about football. I am sorry that Stefano is injured, I hope to see him back soon.”
