Inter Manager Antonio Conte Tempted To Start Sebastiano Esposito Immediately

Antonio Conte is very much tempted to just throw Inter youngster Sebastiano Esposito right in at the deep end by starting him this weekend although a gradual insertion is more likely according to a report in today’s paper edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Due to Alexis Sanchez’s ankle injury, which will keep him out for the remainder of this year, Inter requested that Esposito was not named in Italy’s squad for the upcoming under 17 World Cup due to the fact they would find themselves short on numbers in attack.

With Inter having a packed fixture schedule in the coming weeks, it is almost inevitable that 17-year-old Esposito will see some time on the pitch and could do so even as a second striker, not necessarily in his favoured role as an out and out striker.

Esposito is not the only one who could benefit from Inter’s busy calendar with the report also stating that Valentino Lazaro should get more chances in the coming weeks having had to settle for just 41 minutes all season.
