Nemanja Matic wants to see out the remainder of his contract with Manchester United amid continued links to Inter ahead of the January transfer window according to a report from British news outlet The Sun.

The Serbian has been massively out of favour this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford and although frustrated by his lack of play time, he wishes to remain with United and try to help them out the slump they find themselves in, despite the report stating the clubs have already held talks over his possible transfer.

Inter have identified the 31-year-old as a potential January transfer window addition as they wish to bolster their midfield department but the player’s intentions, as per this report, would appear to scupper their plans.

If Matic does not go on to change his mind by the end of the January transfer window, the report goes on to state that Inter would still be interested in acquiring him on a free transfer in the Summer.
